Notice of firmware update
On Friday, August 23, 2024, we started distributing update 【v2.0.0-1】 for Egret II Mini main unit.
Notice regarding "Arcade Memories VOL.3"
From "Arcade Memories VOL.3" and onwards, update of EgretⅡmini main unit is neccessary for the improvement of security function.
Please note before you purchase that main unit version should be【v2.0.0-1】or newer to activate the SD card.
To update EgretⅡmini, please prepare SDHC card.
*SDHC card is not included in the package.

About improvements
- Now supporting SD Card of "Arcade Memories VOL.3".
- Now supporting "Intelligent Controller Cyber Stick"【Limited color】（Model Number:XE1AJ-USB-DP)
Bug fixes
- Fixed the problem where data of "Arcade Memories VOL.1" and "Arcade Memories VOL.2" were showed in a mixed manner in the "Favorite" function.
- Updated the music of "Rainbow Islands Extra" ROUND 9 to 12 and ROUND 17 to 36 to be more reminiscent of the original version.
- Fixed the name of the circuitry board for "Syvalion" and "Raimais".
*To display "Syvalion", "Puddle & Trackball controller" should be connected to the main unit. The controller is in the "Puddle & Controller expansion package".
Notes on updating
- This product is not an online game, so you will be able to play it even if you do not update the main unit.
However, please note that main unit update will be necessary to play "Arcade Memories VOL.3".
The main unit update will also be necessary to use the "Intelligent Controller Cyberstick (model: XE1AJ-USB and XE1AJ-USB-DP)".
▼Please understand the following contents before updating.
- Various game settings and save data will not be deleted, but if you continue to use it as is, strange behavior may occur. In such case, please initialize the main unit.
- If the power is cut off during the update, please follow the update procedure and start over from the beginning again.
- If you are updating for the first time, the screen ratio and HDMI output screen ratio of Egret II Mini main unit will be changed. Once changed, it cannot be undone.
- The SD cards of "Arcade Memories VOL. 1 to VOL. 3" do not contain any update data for the main unit. When updating, please download it from the official website.
１：Format the SD card
Prepare SD card (at least 512MB) and format it to FAT32.
*SDHC card is not included in the package.
２：Download update data
Download the update data from the download page on the Egret II Mini official page and save it to the SD card.
３：Update Egret II Mini main unit
Unplug the power cable from Egret II Mini and turn on the power switch, then insert the SD card with the update data into the main unit, and connect the power cable while pressing the E + F button to start the update.
The contents of this time will be reflected when the update is completed.
*SDHC card is not included in the package.
Firmware update procedure
Download the update data from the official page, save it to the SDHC card, and update the data downloaded to Egret II Mini main unit.
▼ Notes on SD cards as the following.
- Please use "SDHC" as the type of SD card. Anything else cannot be used.
*micro SDHC cards can also be used in conjunction with a dedicated SD card adapter.
Prepare the "SDHC" SD card!
[1] Format the SD card

Prepare the SDHC card (at least 512MB as remaining capacity).

Insert the SDHC card into "Computer" or "PC, right-click the icon, and click Properties (R).
Confirm that the file system is "FAT32".
*If it is not "FAT32", you need to format it and set the file system to "FAT32".
Confirm that the file format is "FAT32"!
[2] Download the update data and save it to the SD card

Access the update data download page on the Egret II Mini official website.
Download the update data from this website.

When the download of the update data is completed, insert the SDHC card formatted to FAT32 into "Computer" or "PC".
* Even those who do not have a "computer" or "PC" can download the update data using a "smartphone" or "tablet" device.
However, you can only update the main unit with an SDHC card (file system is FAT32), so please transfer the data from your device to the SDHC card using a "card reader" or the like. (For details on how to use the device, please check the manual of your device.)

Unzip the downloaded data and save the update data "firmware.bin" to the SDHC card.
Confirm that the file name in the SD card is "firmware.bin"!
[3] Update Egret II Mini main unit
Unplug the power cable from Egret II Mini and turn on the power switch, then insert the SD card with the update data into the main unit, and connect the power cable while pressing the E + F button to start the update.
The contents of this time will be reflected when the update is completed.

Unplug the power cable from the main unit of Egret II Mini.

With the power cable disconnected, turn on the power switch.

Insert the "SDHC card containing the update data (firmware.bin)" into the SD card slot.

Confirm that the SDHC card is inserted and connect the power cable to the main unit of Egret II Mini while pressing the "E and F button" of the main unit at the same time.
*Make sure the power cable is properly plugged into the outlet.

When the Egret to Mini main unit starts up and the firmware update screen is displayed, release the "E and F button".

Firmware update will start automatically. (in 1min)
It will be restarted when completed.

After restarting, move to game select screen. If the version notation on the rights notation screen is "v2.0.0-1", the update is successfully done.
*System Settings>Rights The current version can be checked at the upper right of the screen.
Please reject the SDHC card used for the update after turning off the power of Egret2mini.
